Part of the "Precious" Series, Gyokuro "HOJUN" is one of Akizukien's most famous and well regarded Teas. The loose leaf tea, on which they spend a great deal of time and effort, is wrapped in elegant and beautiful paper and then further in a delicate Paulownia wooden box.
Gyokuro is the highest grade of Japanese tea and is considered rare and premium. This "traditional Yame-Gyokuro" is one of the most popular in Japan. The tea leaves are shaded from sunlight for at least 20 days before harvest. This unique harvesting process produces a sweeter and less astringent tea with a higher concentration of nutrients.
